Client Project, STORYBOARDS advert

For the Advert I had to think about the content to fit in with the time constraints. Sticking to the timing is crucial because in a project in the proffessional world a few seconds can mean going over budget or the ad being rejected that why most adverts normally range from 15-30 seconds. The content is crucial for the advert to be successful it needs to be short but straight to the point. These are the storyboard of the two adverts.


Client Project, "I AM PULP"

Pulp have a tag line "THIS IS PULP" also on the PULP card they give to customers it says "I AM PULP" this is somthing I want to play on in Advert and the Promo. I want to show how people have become a apart of PULP because they shop in the store. I have decide to ask customers in the stores to say i "I AM PULP" There will be a selection process to this, the people used will be from an age ranging from 15-29. In some cases I want to have the words printed on paper and have it stuck to theirs lips. This is how it may look in the final edit.

Client Project, BRANDING

I had to think of a way of showing the brands that PULP stock in a way that was quick and punchy for the Advert so I thought of the idea of having the brand logos being placed on the screen as stickers using a hand placing them down. this will create the look as if the hand is placing the stickers on the screen. To do this I think I would have to use a green screen and then place the footage of the stickers underneath. The issue here is timing of the hand and the stickers so it look smooth. I think i will use this idea in the promo video as well because there is a section that focuses on the brands PULP stock. In the promo it will show a higher focus on the stock because there is more time to play around with. Here is a mock up of how it will look in the videos.

CLIENT PROJECT PULP UK

This is a mock up the map that will be used to show where the stores are in the British isles. Because this is a mock up it means it will change due to development of the project. I wan to play with idea of a PULP Britain and how pulp is taking over the country.




For the promotional video and the Advert I want to go with a comic strip theme to both the videos using it as a introduction, in some cases as a purpose for transition between shots. eg here is a piece I have done for a previous project where a comic strip was used. This image and a few others were used in a documentary that i made last year. The Comic strips were used to change from one scene to another acting as a introduction.

CliENT PROJECT RESEARCH

The use of mascot of some sort is a great way of people identifying a brand name, for example; Andrex toilet paper uses a Labrador Puppy, which people now relate to as the Andrex puppy. The puppy implies that the toilet paper is soft to the touch just like puppies fur.


CLIENT PROJECT RESEARCH

Through the Research I have conducted, most companies have short adverts lasting only 20-30 seconds longs, they are straight to the point. An adverts are used to create awareness of the existence of a brand for example the ferrero Rocher advert had the tag line of “you are spoiling really spoiling us” Most people after seeing that advert will relate it to the ferrero Rocher brand.

Another specific brand that uses a well known tag line is Lynx deodorant; “Sprey more, get more” calling it the; “lynx effect”. The adverts feature men spraying the lynx onto themselves as a result in doing so they attract more women so implying to men that using lynx will attract more attention from the opposite sex.
